MEET MARK
Clearview has performed in over 1,000 venues for audiences as big as 10,000 people in his 20+ years as a comedy magician. Gee, wow!
I know right? An international magician, comedian, world record holder, and total momma’s boy; Gee wow, indeed.
Mark Clearview performs regularly at the hottest venues in New York City (and the coldest) and flies all around the world to share his magic (on airplanes, not on his broom). His clientele ranges from celebrities like Seth Rogen, Michael J. Fox, and Neil Patrick Harris, to high profile executives at Chanel, Moet, and Google. They all love him — except one, who really likes him as a friend.
Clearview was the resident magician at the acclaimed Michelin star restaurant “The Musket Room”, The Edition Hotel’s “Paradise Club”, the popular speakeasy “Bathtub Gin” and was a crowd favorite at “Caroline’s on Broadway”. He also hosts the very secret, very popular MAGIC, UNLOCKED monthly at Keys & Heels Speakeasy. When he isn’t entertaining off-broadway, you can catch him performing at The Magic Castle in Los Angeles, CA. Or filing his nails and watching Family Ties re-runs.
Clearview performs in different cities weekly; from headlining The Chicago Magic Lounge to dazzling at high profile private events. He is also the consistent cruise ship magician on Virgin Voyages - Valiant Lady.
Clearview is known for making regular appearances on television performing magic. He performed live in Las Vegas for Season 8 of Penn & Teller: Fool Us. He finished in the finals of Canada’s Got Talent, not before clinching a Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel and the accompanying $25,000 cash prize (which he blew on pinball). He has gained over half a million views on YouTube and over fifty million views on Facebook. And that’s not even counting what he’s watched.
Mark is the talent behind Escaping Parkinson’s—a stunt supported by Michael J. Fox himself—raising over $15,000 in just fourteen days. For two weeks Mark lived strapped inside a straitjacket without breaks. On the fourteenth day he escaped on live television, garnering international attention, and setting a world record for “The Longest Amount of Time Wearing a Straitjacket”. What a kind-hearted moron.
The story of Escaping Parkinson's has since been presented as a TEDx talk.
In 2022 Mark published a book about his experience in the straitjacket titled “TWO WEEKS STRAIT: How to Succeed When your Hands are Tied”. The book is available to order here, and he could really use the money — which he absolutely promises not to put into any pinball machines.
(Proceeds benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research).
Phew! What a guy!
“Mark Clearview was the cherry on top of a perfect evening. My mind was blown.”
“Mark Clearview is bringing the magic to NYC.”
“Are those veneers?”
